1940s Football Folk Art Painting
Believed to be a holder for a schedule, this magnificent scene in oil on particle board measures 10" in diameter and depicts a ball carrier being tackled by a defender on a fall football field. It reads: "SCHOOL & COLLEGE FOOTBALL GAMES" and is signed what appears to be "A Mellon." A quaint piece of Americana.
