1940s Joe Louis New York State Boxing License
Talk about a license to kill. One of the meanest hombres ever to enter a boxing ring - Joe Louis Barrow - was issued license #331 from the New York Department of State - State Athletic Commission. It expired on Sept. 30, 1948, six months before announcing his retirement. This lot comes with Louis' World's Champion pin, Joe Louis/Max Schmeling 1975 bronze Volkswanderung commemorative medal and tribute to Joe Louis bronze coin.
