1940’s New York Giants Sideline Jacket
In the midst of the Depression the Giants fought hard for their survival as other teams folded around the league. Funds were tight and equipment had to last, thus we believe that this blue wool-cotton blend jacket took part in one of their three championships that decade. “NY” sits over the heart and “Giants” covers the back both in white felt. As is the number “19” on the left sleeve. The remaining tag reads, “Tailored by Butwin.” Use is strong. Some easily repaired tears exist along with team repairs already done around neck. A gorgeous relic from the defining moment in Big Blue history.
