The provenance of this jersey is critical to the piece. First, it came from a highly respected Midwest collector. Second, he obtained this many years ago along with a 1940s Negro League All Star Game pennant. Third, the name of the team (Nubians) establishes that is it is undoubtedly Negro League. This approximately medium sized jersey has the team name Nubian across the front and the number 1 on the back.
