1940s Paul Waner Handwritten Two Page Letter (PSA)
SCARCE handwritten missive from Paul Waner, the Hall of Fame outfielder known as "Big Poison". Waner, and his brother Lloyd, known as "Little Poison", hold an amazing record as these TWO brothers hold the record for most hits by brothers, beating both the THREE Alou brothers and the THREE DiMaggios. After playing his last game with the New York Yankees in 1942, Waner, at some later time in the 1940s, was staying in Miami, Florida. He writes to a friend named Ernest on El Commodore Hotel stationery, and the letter shows that he's just itching to get back into baseball, hopefully as a coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates, the team he played with for the vast majority of his career. Comes certified by PSA.
