1940s Tom Yawkey United Airlines Plaque from Fenway Park
A great looking award - the UA logo juts out figurally quite far in brass with red, white and blue enamel logo at bottom. Presented to legendary Boston Red Sox owner and Hall of Fame member Thomas A. Yawkey. It was presented by W.A. Patterson, longtime United Airlines President (1934-66). This stands as one of only a few Yawkey pieces to come on to the market, and came right off the wall from his office at Fenway Park. Many things were thrown away after an office renovation and this is one of them. In EX condition, measures 8.5x6.5".
