1940s Walt Disney Baseball Uniform

1940s Walt Disney Baseball Uniform

In the analogs of history of the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, they discuss company baseball games that took place in the period following WWII. This is during the time when the Studio was in a period of unrest because of the cartoonists and general workers' strikes, and this was a way to improve worker's morale by having a company team playing the peaceful and bonding game of baseball. This uniform, is complete, with the familiar Disney script DISNEY that has become synonymous with childhood, whimsy and story-telling. Includes, jersey, pants and cap in maroon and white, number 16 annotated on the shoulder, medium size clothes with a "D" on the front of the cap. Tag reads "Russell Southern Co." and except for two tiny holes on the cap, the overall condition is EX. This is the only Disney Studios uniform we have ever seen and what's most interesting is that it was discovered in Japan!
