1941 Baseball Figurine Set by Lafayette Rittgers
1941 Lafayette Rittgers chalkware baseball figurine trio. The American and National League players measure 8.75" tall while the umpire stands 6.75" tall. Each figure is inscribed with a 1941 Rittgers copyright on its shoes/ankles. Remarkably, the chalkware figures have withstood the test of time well with minimal chipping/paint loss. The National League batsman is in EX-MT condition with a minor amount of paint loss and chipping near the bottom of his shoes. The American league player is in EX condition with minor paint loss and two moderate chips on his right foot. The remnants of an old label are on the underside of the right foot as well. The umpire figure is in EX condition with a large chip on the back of his right foot that appears to have been colored in with gray years ago. Overall, a well maintained chalkware trio.
