Estate-fresh, this anti-Axis editorial cartoon in original artist's pencil was published in the Chicago Herald-American newspaper. It depicts Adolph Hitler as the manager visiting the mound and about to pull "Il Duce" as pitcher. Mussolini sports a "Glass Arm" which is the title of the piece. The facist insists, "But I'm still good as a pinch runner boss." Stalin in a Russian folk dress waits on deck swinging heavy lumber. Refers to Mussolini's failures and submission to Hitler, and is stamped on front "From the archives of Leon T. Walkowicz," who was a newspaper writer from Chicago.
