1943 Ted Williams Handwritten Letter with Navy Content (ALS)

Fom Navy Fight School, Ted Williams wrote this one page letter (both sides) to his biggest fan, June Friest. Dated March 25, 1943, it reads in part, “I really have enjoyed my experience in the Navy so far, especially the flying. I am really crazy about that and I hope I can make the grade and earn my wings.” Signed, “Thanks for everything, As ever, Ted.” Ink grades “9” out of a possible 10. Letter with original mailing folds, otherwise EX-MT. Comes with original envelope, postdated Mar. 28, 1943, also filled out in William’s hand, as “Av.Cadet Ted Williams, U.S.N.R.”
