1943 Ted Williams WWII "Stop Motion" Photo Series (7)

1943 Ted Williams WWII "Stop Motion" Photo Series (7)

Seven stunning 8x10" Type 1 photos of the Splendid Splinter showing the progression of the hit master's swing. In the photos, Williams is wearing a Boston road flannel with Health patch. This NEVER BEFORE SEEN series of images was most likely taken during 1943 in an exhibition while in the military during WWII. In an "uncompetitive environment" based on the dynamic of the sparse crowd and non major league park near where he was stationed during the war. All photos have International News Photo stamps as well as International Foto Service of "Stockholm" Stamps on verso as well as "American Baseball" in pencil. Unlike anything we have seen before. NM. From one of America's finest ever baseball collections.
