1943 World Series Game 3 Multi-Signed Press Pass w/Babe Ruth (PSA)
Smack dab in the middle of U.S. involvement of World War II, the depleted rosters of two proud franchises battled it out for baseball supremacy on the home front. This press pass comes from Game 3 of the 1943 World Series between the defending champion St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees. A litany of stars signed it, including none other than the Babe Ruth, who earlier in the year had made his final appearance as a player at Yankee Stadium, participating in an exhibition game for the Army-Navy Relief Fund. Also among the signers were that year's World Series combatants Stan Musial, Billy Southworth, Joe Gordon, Charlie Keller, Bill Dickey and Bill Johnson. In addition to players, a few celebrities appear on the pass including Roy Rogers, Thomas Dewey (NY Governor), and James Farley (Chairman of DNC and Postmaster General under FDR). Despite one horizontal crease near the top, the pass from Yankee Stadium is in Excellent condition and is a proud relic of a pivotal time in our nation's history. Comes with PSA LOA.
