1944 Leo Durocher Game Worn Brooklyn Dodgers Satin Jersey with Pants
Not only one of the most desirable Brooklyn styles of all time, but also the jersey of Hall of Famer Leo Durocher. Worn at some night games, these jerseys are satin blue with white trim. "Brooklyn" in white on the front with Leo's "2" in white on the reverse. Wilson size 42 tag in collar. This was definitely Durocher's jersey, as he was the only player who wore number 2 while this style was used. The pants belonged at one time to Bobby Bragan and his last name is stitched in the waist band, along with Wilson size 38 tagging. Pants and jerseys were often mixed and matched during this time period, which explains why Durocher's jersey could end up with Bragan's pants. Unfortunately, some time ago a collector had Bragan sign inside the collar of the jersey. Pants also include the original belt. Both are in great condition with no rips or tears. Finding a satin baseball uniform in this condition is virtually unheard of.
