1945 Jack Johnson WWII Exhibition Photo and Program
Three item grouping is carried by a humbling B&W photograph of previous Heavyweight Champion of the World (1908-15) Jack Johnson in gloves and trunks <i>and in the ring</i>. “7th War Loan Drive, 6/28/45” is written below. 8x10 is affixed to black paper. Also comes with program for “Brooklyn Bond Bouts” show (May 28, 1945) with Johnson listed as one of the guest officials, as well as a thank you letter (dated June 9th, 1945) from John Rae, on Treasury Department stationery, centered on the success of the War Bond Boxing Show.
