1945 Ted Williams Signed Navy Photo (5x7")
This Excellent b/w photo emanates from the famed Barry Halper collection. Shown are the 1945 American League All Stars wearing Navy uniforms. This was the year that Ted Williams would return to Boston, after serving in the Navy. The young pilot is standing in the back row, second from the left with broad smile. His signature rests below in thick black felt tip, along with the blue sharpie signature of his teammate, Johnny Pesky (kneeling in front). Both signatures are NRMT, grading “9.5” out of a possible 10. Exhibits perfect contrast with almost no surface damage.
