1945 World Series Program Tigers vs. Cubs

1945 World Series Program Tigers vs. Cubs

An unfortunately-rare keepsake, this program from the 1945 World Series is nicely scored in pencil inside, dating it from Game 6 on October 8, 1945, at Wrigley Field. Not only does that 12-inning 8-7 victory over the Tigers stand as the Cubbies' last World Series victory since, but it was only the second to this day at the "Friendly Confines." The program spans 16 card-stock pages measuring 8x11" with stats and nice black and white headshots of players from both teams, in addition to the scorecard, inside. It rates in VG condition due to a light crease down the center and there is slight wear at the corners, but it displays much nicer as it is otherwise well-preserved; all pages are firmly attached and there are no tears.
