1946 Billy Southworth All Star Game Award Box
Baseball Hall-of-Fame player and manager Bill Southworth received this sterling silver "cigarette box" (with wood interior) in award for playing in the 1946 All Star Game on the National League squad, during his first year as the manager of the Boston Braves. The inscription on top reads "ALL-STAR AWARD NATIONAL LEAGUE | TO BILLY SOUTHWORTH | 1946" and also features an engraved signature from Ford C. Frick. Box has a few minor dings on the top on the side, but is otherwise in excellent (EX) condition, and comes with an LOA from the Southworth family.
