Branch Rickey's plan to "ease" Jackie Robinson into the Majors resulted in the multi-talented superstar athlete getting sent to the Montreal Royals in 1946, before coming to the Dodgers. There, as the first black player in the International League in 57 years, Jackie Robinson led the league and the Royals to a pennant and subsequent Little World Series victory, bringing Jackie to glory amongst the Montreal fans. Official International League (Shaughnessy) baseball is signed by 8 of the 1946 IL All Stars, including Jackie Robinson. Ball is cream colored and in Excellent condition, as are the signatures.
