1946 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball
The fabled New York Yankees were dominant in every sense of the word from the late 1920’s to early 1960’s, and yet there are relative kinks in any Goliath’s armor, and for three straight years in the 40’s, the Bronx Bombers didn’t win a World Series, nor a pennant. At the end of this period, from 1944 to 1946, the manager, Joe McCarthy, who had led the Yanks to another level in the 30’s, was replaced with Bucky Harris, and shortly thereafter, by Casey Stengel, who would guide them through the brilliant 50’s. Though only on the brink of another seismic shift in the Bronx, this entire ’46 team signs this OAL baseball in 9/10 blue ink some pretty legendary marks including Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Spud Chandler, Frank Crosetti, Phil Rizzuto, Joe Gordon, George Stirnweiss, Charlie Keller, Red Ruffing, Bill Bevens, Red Rolfe, Tommy Henrich, and more. Official American League label on ball has faded but ball itself grades NRMT.
