1946 World Series Baseball by George Sosnak

1946 World Series Baseball by George Sosnak

All seven games of the intense Cardinals-Red Sox World Series of 1946 is captured on this - one of the finer commemorative baseballs designed by the great George Sosnak. Among the noteworthy features on this sensational baseball is a tribute panel to pitcher John Grodzicki, who suffered shrapnel injures to his legs while serving as a decorated paratrooper during World War II, requiring major surgery in order to resume his playing career and participate in this Fall Classic. The Cardinals won the Series against Detroit and the ball is in EX condition.
