1947 and 1953 New York Yankees World Series Press Pins
Media stalwarts such as Red Smith and Jack Lang likely would have donned these handsome lapel pins as they filed their stories from the Yankee Stadium and Ebbets Field press boxes in 1947 and 1953. In each case, these collector's items were presented by the American League champion Yankees to members of the working press prior to their eventual Subway Series championships vs. the rival Brooklyn Dodgers. The 1947 pin has a small chip on the enamel while the 1953 pin is NRMT.
