1947 Grand Rapids Chicks Vintage Team Signed Yearbook
There was certainly no crying in baseball in 1947 if you lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Unless you count tears of joy, that is. The Chicks won the first of their two All-American Girls Professional Baseball League championships that season, proving that America's pastime was truly not gender specific.
