1947 Jackie Robinson Day Program
As his first tumultuous season in the major leagues was winding down, Jackie Robinson was honored at Ebbets Field on September 23, 1947, and the 6-1 Dodgers victory over the crosstown rival Giants may not have been the highlight of the afternoon. Fellow civil rights pioneer Bill "Bojangles" Robinson danced on the dugout in honor of #42. This program from that day has a 1" tear and a hand-written date atop the cover in black ink but is otherwise in EX-MT condition.
