1947 Victorian Nut Supplies Boxing Card Sub - Set (All Graded)
This is a very rare card sub set of boxers. Cards made in Essendon, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Each cards measures 1 3/4" x 2 3/4" and are each clearly illustrated by Bob Mirams. Prints are black on white/beige background. Back of cards are identical and tell the reader that there are 36 cards in total and that there are prizes to win every time a card is bought. Cards read, "#8 Joe Louis, World's Champion for many years," "#9 Mickie Tollis, A Grand Fighter," "#20 Eddie Miller, Former Champion - A Brainy Boxer," and "#23 Norm. Gent, A Real Artist with the Gloves." Louis card has sharpest edges, and Miller, Tollis, & Gent are slightly rounded on corners. All cards graded: Louis, NM, 7. Tollis, VG/EX, 4. Miller, EX/NM, 6. Gent, VG, 3.
