1947 Washington Redskins Coaches' Sweater
Absolutely stunning Washington Redskins coaches' sweater from 1947, just after the Skins' prolific run of five straight Eastern Division titles and two NFL championships in the late '30s and early '40s. The gorgeous maroon sweater is trimmed with gold on the sleeves and waistband and has "Redskins" stitched across the chest. A gem with just a smidge of white staining on the lower right side. Comes with a rare locker room pass issued to Dr. Wilbur Bohm, the team's trainer, for a November 30, 1947 game at Fenway Park against the Boston Yanks. The cardboard pass is signed by Dick McCann, the Yanks' GM (later director of the Football Hall of Fame). There is also a list of Redskins players addresses that was sent to Dr. Bohm in an envelope with the Redskins' logo on it. Spendid package for serious Skins' aficianados.
