1947 World Series Umpires Signed Baseball
It was the first World Series ever televised, and the first to feature a black player on the roster. The Yankees beat the Dodgers 5 games to 2 in an amazing contest which lasted every bit of seven games. Presented is an Official American League baseball (Harridge) signed by six Umpires who officiated the memorable Series. Clearly legible (8/10) blue fountain pen signatures include: Bill McGowan, Babe Pinelli, Eddie Rommel, Larry Goetz, George Magerkurth, and James Boyer. Attractive sphere is a light cream color and rates EX-MT overall. Many times rarer than a 1947 Yankee or Dodger team ball.
