1948 "The Babe Ruth Story" One Sheet and 1952 "The Pride of St. Louis" Insert

An era was slipping away, and a new one was emerging in Major League Baseball, and the release of these two films, 1948’s “The Babe Ruth Story” and 1952’s “The Pride of St. Louis,” seemed to be, knowingly or not, acknowledging this generational shift. “St. Louis” chronicled the life of St. Louis Cardinal and pitching legend Dizzy Dean, and this poster insert for the film captures the energy of Dean, who is portrayed by Dan Dailey. EX poster is matted blue, wood-framed, and measures 20x43”. The Ruth story poster sheet is in fragile shape, measuring 27x41”, and really needs to be put on linen as it is coming apart at the fold. It is a beautiful poster, with a VG condition, that would display perfectly once mounted and secured.
