The Hammond Calumet Buccaneers of the National Basketball League ended the 1948-49 season with a record of 21 wins and 41 losses, finishing third in the NBL's East Division. The 1948-49 Hammond Calumet Buccaneers lost in the conference semi-finals. Later, when the NBL and BAA agreed to merge, the Buccaneers went out of business.
