Somewhat curiously, this 1948-49 Harlem Globetrotters program was signed by Jesse Owens. Though Owens is a name you wouldn't expect to find on a Harlem Globetrotters program, the track star toured with the Globetrotters during the 1940s and served in various roles within the organization. His most famous appearance with the team came in 1951 when the Globetrotters played in a divided Berlin before a crowd of 75,000. The appearance was particularly notable because 15 years earlier Owens dominated the 1936 Summer Olympics held there, later dubbed the "Nazi Olympics." There is some minor creasing and a slight water stain on the right edge, but overall it is in VG-EX condition. Owens' signature can be found on the cover in pencil and comes with PSA LOA.
