1948 Bowman Basketball Partial Set Including George Mikan
Unlike Bowman Gum's 1948 baseball and football sets, their basketball cards were in full color. It was the first full set devoted exclusively to hoopsters, and there were 21 rookie cards included. These cards are fresh and have never been offered before. There are 14 high numbers here. Among the highlights: #1 Calverly EX, #9 Phillip VG-EX, #10 Davis EX MC, #32 Holzman EX, #34 Fulks EX, #52 Simmons EX, #55 Palmer EX, #66 Pollard EX and, of course, #69 Mikan EX. There are 47 total cards (44 different three duplicates) with an average condition of EX-EX-MT overall. Several cards range as high as NRMT.
