1948 Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Rockets vs. Buffalo Bills Broadsides (2)
Back in the late 1940s, the All American Football Conference went head-to-head with the NFL for pro gridiron supremacy, ultimately failing in its quest to survive and/or destroy the established league. From the 1948 season come these very rare cardboard ads for the Buffalo Bills - who bailed for the NFL when the league folded. The signs read: "MAJOR LEAGUE FOOTBALL THE BUFFALO BILLS AND THE BROOKLYN DODGERS (CHICAGO ROCKETS) OF THE A.A.F.C. SUNDAY OCTOBER 3rd (LABOR DAY SEPT. 6th) 2:P.M. KICKOFF CIVIC STADIUM TICKETS NOW ON SALE $1.80 $3.60 $4.50." Both are in rough condition but try to find another like them. The colors are good but they have foxing, nail holes, tears, some tape and creases. Overall Fair condition.
