1948 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Baseball with Campanella Rookie Signature
Daring to break a tradition which had existed for nearly a century, the Boys of Summer changed the face of baseball forever, and became immortalized in the memories of New York fans as well as baseball fans anywhere in the world. The most colorful squad ever assembled, made up of such legends and Hall of Famers as Pee Wee Reese, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, and of course - the most important sports figure in all of history, Jackie Robinson. Highlighted by Roy Campanella’s rookie signature, the Brooklyn Bums are all here on this ONL (Frick) baseball. 23 total black ink signatures including Robinson, Snider, Campanella, Hodges, & Reese. All are dark, although some are slightly faded or a little rubbed out in spots, but virtually no bleeding. Presents very nicely, signatures looking very neat. The ball itself boasts an even tan-colored patina, which gives a charming, vintage look to this classic leather sphere.
