1948 Cy Young Deposit Slip

1948 Cy Young Deposit Slip

Deposit slip for The Oxford Bank made out to the bank account of the immortal Cy Young. Dated 12/30/48, the black writing lists the depositor as "D.J. Young," with the initials standing for his given name, Denton True Young. The handwriting is not in the Hall of Fame pitcher's hand - perhaps because he was 81 at the time - and the total deposit is for $275. Slip has some folds and light discoloration from age. Lot comes with 5x7" photo of Young at an apparently advanced age.
