1948 Lloyd Heneveld Game Worn Michigan National Champions Uniform & Sweater
More than just a memorable Rose Bowl for U of M, the Wolverines celebrated a 49-0 victory over USC, going undefeated for the season. Great old style uniform worn by Lloyd Heneveld with button crotch extended material at bottom. Navy jersey with “61” stitched in yellow on front and back. 61 on verso. Jersey is riddled with team repairs all over. Tagging in back tail of button crotch is “MacGregor Goldsmith size 44” with care tag to left. Yellow uniform pants with “O’Shea Knitting Mills [size] 34 Regular” tag on fabric over the zipper on inside. Vintage “61” written in black ink, upside down inside waist. Great use through and through. Included is U of Michigan sweater with large embroidered “M” on front. Collar tagging is “Goebel-Brown” with [size] “44” flag tag and “100% pure wool” tag underneath.
