1948 Paul Robeson Yankee Stadium Rally Handbill
Original handbill advertising a "Yankee Doodle Rally" for the newly formed Progressive 3rd Party with former Vice President, Henry Wallace as the presi-dential candidate and Senator Glen Taylor as the vice presidential candi-date. Paul Robeson appeared at this September 9, 1948 rally at Yankee Stadium in New York City. The Progressive party supported a pro-Soviet platform attacking the Marshall Plan and calling for disarmament. EX. 8.5x11".
