1949 Bowman American Heroes of the Law HIGH GRADE Complete Set of (36)

1949 Bowman American Heroes of the Law HIGH GRADE Complete Set of (36)

In the 1920s and '30s, it appeared mobsters ruled the cities, and the "G-Men" and other government agencies such as the FBI had their hands full tracking down all the criminals. Crime was big business for the gangsters, and also for the print media, as stories of the notorious gangs were plastered all over the daily papers. In addition, there were kids galore who looked up to these crime fighters (and we're sure a few loved the gangsters!), and the card companies produced several sets of G-Men fighting crime. Offered is a VERY HIGH GRADE 1949 Bowman complete set of 36 cards titled "America Salutes The FBI - Heroes of the Law." In Bowman's typical small stature (cards are about the size of 1948-50 Bowman baseball), they produced these cards based on REAL CRIMES of the day including kidnapping, bank robbery and even murder. The set grades 80% Near Mint to NM-MT with some lesser due to the usual Bowman light wrinkles.
