1949 Brooklyn Dodgers Team-Signed "Welcome Home Dinner" Program w/Robinson & Campanella (JSA)
Menu issued for the "Welcome Home Dinner to the 1949 Brooklyn Dodgers," held at the Hotel St. George in Brooklyn, New York, on April 18, 1949, signed in pencil on the front cover by thirty team members. The signatures featured here are those of Robinson, Campanella, Snider, Reese, Hodges, Shotton (Mgr.), Cox, Connors, Furillo, Pitler (coach), Parrot (traveling secretary), Edwards, Romazotti, Barney, Rackley, Sukeforth (coach), Stock (coach), Narron (bullpen catcher), Abrams, Miksis, Whitman, Podbielan, Minner, McGlothin, Jorgensen, Branca, McCormick, Palica, Banta, and Sexauer (didn't make the final roster). The signatures are all fairly uniform in grade, averaging 8/10. As foreshadowed by the cover art, the Dodgers won the National League pennant in 1949, which also marked Jackie Robinson's MVP season. The fold-over menu (6.5x10") remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Full LOA from JSA.
