1949 Drummondville Cubs Cabinet Photograph with Quincy Trouppe (17x20" frame)

1949 Drummondville Cubs Cabinet Photograph with Quincy Trouppe (17x20" frame)

North-of-the-border ball club was led to the championship of the "Ligue Provencale" by one of the greatest stars of the Negro League. Note that the team also boasted other Negro Leaguers, Cuban League stars and pitcher Sal Maglie, who headed to Canada after having been banned from the Majors. Each player appears in an individual pose, arranged in a smartly-crafted collage, with the coveted Championship trophy pictured at center. A rare and wonderful piece that will complement the strongest Negro League collection.
