1950-51 Josh Gibson Toleteros Baseball Card SGC 60
Josh Gibson, recently selected as MLB Network's #1 Negro League Player, graces this 1950-1951 Toleteros SGC 60 baseball card. Gibson is shown about to swing in front of a gray fence, covering a navy blue background. All four corners have such a slight rounding, probably from only being handled once or twice. Known in his day as the "Black Babe Ruth," Negro League Hall Of Famer Josh Gibson has been credited with nine home run titles, four batting championships, and a batting average hovering northward of .350. There are fewer that 12 of these cards known to exist. Graded EX, 5.
