Collectible cards of noted baseball stars and actresses first appeared on boxes of "Royal Desserts" products in 1950, continuing in 1951 and 1952. Today, the cards are almost always found hand-cut from the original boxes, often poorly reflecting the excitement of a youngster clipping away, with uneven edges and jagged corners.
