1950 Jackie Robinson Signed Letter - A Ball for a Sick Boy (PSA)
One-page typed letter, dated September 14, 1950, signed by Jackie Robinson. In his letter, on his personal letterhead, Robinson writes to a youth baseball coach and apologizes that he was unable to send a sick boy a baseball. In full: "Dear Mr. Heninger: I am very sorry that your letter was not sent directly to me and so I was unable to send the ball to the boy that you mentioned in your letter. I am very glad to hear that he is doing so well. Give him my best wishes and tell him to keep working hard. Best wishes." Signed "Jackie Robinson" in blue ink (grading 8/10). The letter (7.25x10.5") displays two horizontal folds and remains in Excellent condition overall. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope (7.5x4"; GD-VG). Full LOA from PSA.
