1950 Kid Gavilan vs. George Costner On-Site Fight Poster
On May 8, 1950 at the Arena in Philadelphia welterweights Kid Gavilan and George Costner met in the main event. Costner prevailed winning a ten round majority decision although several newspapers called it an "unpopular" decision. Offered here is an original, on-site poster to this event. The poster is cardboard picturing both fighters. Bold color and clear images. Has a repaired center crease and does display some restoration. Some soiling. Minor edge and corner wear. 22.25" x 28". Extremely rare.
