1950 Ted Williams Game Used W155 Bat (PSA LOA)

1950 Ted Williams Game Used W155 Bat (PSA LOA)

A true gem and something of an oddity, this Ted Williams game used W155 bat has been tracked to 1950. The 35", 32 oz specimen is uncracked and displays excellent use with very slight grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the back barrel and several visible ball marks. The Louisville Slugger has "W155" stamped on the knob and features a rare center brand that appeared on only a few bats manufactured during that 1950 season. That was the year in which Teddy Ballgame broke his arm while playing in the All-Star Game, not only staying in the contest despite the injury but singling home a run to boot. As a result, he played just 89 games and his career was deemed to be in jeopardy. Williams put any questions to bed the following season, crashing 30 homers and driving in 126 runs. Comes with PSA LOA, not only verifying authenticity, but detailing the process for which this very bat was dated for the 1950 season.
