1950s Bob Skinner Pro-Model Bat

1950s Bob Skinner Pro-Model Bat

Bob Skinner H&B pro-model ("M117") bat dating from the 1950-1960 manufacturing period. Skinner began his professional baseball career in 1951 and made his Major League debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1954. He remained with Pittsburgh through the 1963 season and was a key member of the 1960 World Championship club. The bat, which measures 34.5 inches and weighs 32.5 ounces, displays no use, but there are a few small blemishes on the side of the barrel and three sets of staple holes on the back of the barrel from it having once been mounted.
