1950s Globetrotters Broadside Featuring Wilt Chamberlain
The great basketball barnstormers known as the Harlem Globetrotters have been entertaining fans for over 85 years, and this is one of their promotional posters from the 1959 season featuring Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain, who joined the troupe following his junior year at the University of Kansas. Since the NBA did not accept players who had not finished their studies at the time, Chamberlain spent his first season of professional ball with the Trotters before dominating at the game's highest level. The spirited cartoon ad on cardboard measures 14" x 22" and shows some slight damage around the perimeter, minor creasing and staining and some tack holes. VG+ condition overall.
