1950s Harlem Globetrotters Coca Cola Sign

1950s Harlem Globetrotters Coca Cola Sign

A stellar, substantial original wood frame houses two stars Marques Hayes and Reece "Goose" Tatum, two of the five Trotters who received the ultimate honor of having their numbers retired. Having pulled two bottles from a period cooler, the two hoopsters "Pause" to "Refresh." The gold-colored cardboard sign shows some wear, but is a genuine rarity, having only been used in African American neighborhoods. Measures 37" x 24". The Harlem Globetrotters expertly blended athleticism, theater and comedy beginning in 1926 and after 20,000 exhibition games in 120 countries, are still going strong.
