1950s Leo Durocher New York Giants Chesterfield Cigarettes Cardboard Advertising Display

This classic baseball advertising sign, dating from the early 1950s, features New York Giants manager Leo "the Lip" Durocher going to bat for Chesterfield Cigarettes, the cigarettes that "Put A Smile In Your Smoking!" Durocher is pictured enjoying a Chesterfield cigarette, with his image set against a beautiful view of the Polo Grounds in the background. These signs were meant to be hung at points of purchase for Chesterfield Cigarettes in the New York area and today make for stunning wall displays. This is easily the finest example of this Durocher Chesterfield sign we have ever seen, let alone offered. All the colors are bold and vibrant and aside from a small diagonal crease in the lower left corner, the display is Near Mint in its overall appearance. Framed to total dimensions of 22x23".
