1950s Robot Coin-Operated Peanut Machine (55” tall)

1950s Robot Coin-Operated Peanut Machine (55” tall)

Stunning rendition of the traditional 1950s Japanese robot is an actual working peanut dispensing machine. From France, it is a marvelous combination of cast iron (great arms in blue and silver), sheet metal (most of the body including the squarish feet) and red glass eyes. Wonderful art deco look, the mechanics are working but the eye lights are out for now. When the arm is pulled down it dispenses the peanuts! This marvelous piece on its stand is a killer 55” tall. The robot itself is 19x10x6”. Very good condition with only some rust, could be restored to perfect but has good character and looks real nice. Extremely rare and great piece for the robot and coin-op collector.
