1950s Rocky Marciano Collection w/Autographs & Glove (15+) (PSA)

1950s Rocky Marciano Collection w/Autographs & Glove (15+) (PSA)

The "real" Rocky - Marciano - held the World Heavyweight Title from 1952 to 1956. The collection we offer here comes from the possession of Dorothy McDonough, who grew up in Brockton, Mass, near the Hall of Fame boxer and who wrote his victory song when he defeated Jersey Joe Walcott. Included, along with pages from McDonough's personal scrapbook, are a personally gifted Tuf-Wear black glove from Marciano himself; (2) Rocky Marciano signed photos and signed album page to Dorothy; numerous photos of Marciano in his hometown two weeks after fighting Joe Louis in 1951; newspaper articles stating how Dorothy wrote Marciano's victory song; a photo of Dorothy and classmates celebrating the champ's 1952 victory v. Walcott; another page of autographs from her album, including: Julius LaRosa, The Four Lads and The Four Esquires. All photos are glued to black scrapbook paper, with minor creasing/tears on signed photos. All items come directly from her family. Autographs come with PSA LOA.
