1950’s Ted Williams Wilson Glove Cardboard Standee

1950’s Ted Williams Wilson Glove Cardboard Standee

Exceptional cardboard advertising piece is literally a legend in our hobby. Cardboard sign stands an engaging 54” tall and is a diecut of our naval and baseball hero Ted Williams. Used as a store display for Wilson Sporting Goods, this advertised the line of gloves that Ted promoted. He is wearing a home Red Sox uniform and sports an easel readying him to stand in your home. There is a repaired split at the factory crease in the waist that also goes south about 2”. A piece of the foot has been repaired as well. Colors are magnificent and this is one of only a handful that exist today. This stood in the bedroom of our consignor since he was a lad. Testament to its visual impressiveness is that he saved it all these years.
